Investigation either by CCID or MACC.
Police will investigate the police report by Terengganu Amanah Youth on the supposed transaction of RM2.5 million between Umno and PAS for possible links to 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).
Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Noor Rashid Ibrahim said that while he was not aware that the police report has been made yet, it will be investigated if a report was lodged.
“We will look at it of course, if the report is made.
“Then we will decide if the investigation would be conducted by the Commercial Crime Investigation Department or the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC),” he said at a press conference on Wednesday (Oct 10) at the Royal Malaysian Police College in Cheras.
To another question, Noor Rashid said so far police are not investigating former deputy prime minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who has been called for questioning several times by the MACC. – The Star
