Fourth Day at MACC for Riza Aziz

Scheduled to return for questioning at 10.30am on Friday.

After being grilled for about seven hours on Thursday (July 5), Riza Aziz, the stepson of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak left the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya at 6.40pm yesterday evening.

Already questioned a total of 22 hours over the past three days, the 48-year-old film producer is due back at the MACC for the fourth consecutive day today.

Riza is being investigated over his alleged connection to the 1MDB scandal in which his company Red Granite Pictures had received funds originating from the Malaysian sovereign fund.

It is alleged that Riza used the money syphoned from 1MDB to fund his Oscar-nominated movie ‘The Wolf of Wall Street starring Leonardo DiCaprio, among others.
