Azman Samaon said Redzuan had made serious allegations of his involvement in crimes such as drug distribution, and printing and distributing fake currency.

Azman, the Batang Lupar Bersatu interim division chief, also said Redzuan accused him of collaborating with the police to cover up his crimes and falsify government documents.

He told a press conference in Kuching today he would sue Redzuan.

“This has nothing to do with the party or party leaders,” Azman said, adding that he believed Redzuan’s allegations were due to “personal interests aimed at causing disrepute”.

He also believed that Redzuan’s accusations were aimed at preventing him from being named the state Bersatu chief last month.

Jaziri Alkaf A Suffian was named the Sarawak chief on September 16 during the party’s gathering in Kuching with Bersatu president Dr Mahathir Mohamad present.

Redzuan had previously been Sarawak Bersatu co-ordinator before Jaziri became state party chief. – TMI
