The list that is circulating on social media is unverified.
The full cabinet list of 28 ministries that has gone viral is not accurate, according to sources close to the government, Malaysiakini reported.
“It does not look like the final list, though it appears to be accurate for most.
“Some of the names are missing and they are not at the right portfolios. This (is) probably not the right list,” sources told the news portal.
In the list, there are 28 ministries under the Cabinet which include several new ministries such as the Entrepreneur Development Ministry.
The “leaked” list contains several spelling errors in the potential minister’s names with the word ‘Rahsia‘ (Secret) written on it, indicating that it is a confidential document.
Other ministries have also been expanded or consolidated, such as the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry and the Energy, Technology, Science, Climate Change and Environment Ministry.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the full cabinet list has been finalised.
However, he declined to disclose the names on the list, saying it would be known when the ministers are sworn in.
In a statement last night, Istana Negara said the additional ministers would be sworn in next Monday, July 2.
Thirteen ministers were sworn in on May 21.
