Malaysia Airlines (MAS) will be reducing its free baggage allowance for domestic flights from 30 kg to 20 kg beginning August.
The revision is only for those travelling by Economy class and only applies for fares booked from Aug 1.
MAS told The Star Online in an email that this revision was being done to “ensure competitive prices in light of escalating fuel prices”.
Other complimentary services, such as the 7 kg cabin baggage allowance, meals and in-fight entertainment were, however, retained.
A notice of this revision had been recently circulating on social media.
