Nuptials a highly-private, closely-guarded floral-themed affair up in cool Bukit Tinggi.
The daughter of Berjaya Group founder Tan Sri Vincent Tan, Chryseis, 29; and the son of Naza Group’s late founder Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin SM Amin, SM Faliq, 32, tied the knot today.
Reportedly, the two scions solemnised their wedding in Bukit Tinggi, Pahang, in a closely-guarded affair.
“It’s a highly-private affair. Naza Group is not involved in the wedding.
“(However), Chryseis might share (news on the event) through her Instagram account,” a source was quoted as telling the New Straits Times.
Not much has been revealed about the floral-themed wedding, but what is known is that the joyous occasion took place at The Chateau Spa & Organic Wellness Resort in Bukit Tinggi.
Those who were in attendance have been uploading wedding photos with the hashtag #ChrysFaliqeverafter.
An image shared on social media by Faliq’s sister-in-law, local celebrity Marion Caunter, shows the couple donned in all-white traditional wedding attire.
With her hair elegantly tied into a top knot, the bride wore an intricate white gown with an Oriental high collared neckline and a long train at the back, while the groom donned a matching sampin.
Chryseis had previously shared news of her engagement to Faliq in Marrakesh, Morocco, where they were holidaying last June through Instagram.
There was no official word from the couple on today’s nuptials.
The only hint came from Chryseis’ own Instagram page, where the last post on Jan 31 was a photo of her bridal shower.
The photo sees her posing with her friends in a tropical-themed venue near a backdrop which reads: “From Miss to Mrs”.
“All my fav (favourite) people surprised me today! Love you all,” she said in the accompanying message.
It is understood that the two met as students in an international school and had been courting for some time before making their relationship public.
Both are actively involved in their respective family businesses.
Faliq is Naza TTDI Sdn Bhd deputy executive chairman and group managing director; while Chryseis is the chief executive of Berjaya Times Square and executive director of Berjaya Assets Bhd.
Naza Group is Malaysia’s largest privately-owned conglomerate with businesses in the automotive, property, food & beverage and telecommunications industries.
Berjaya Group has businesses ranging from direct-selling and retail, to financial services and motor trading.
