VIP visitors include the King, Dr Siti Hasmah, Dr Wan Azizah and Anwar Ibrahim.
Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali has been discharged from a private hospital in Kuala Lumpur after having been warded for six days.
It is believed that the PKR deputy president underwent treatment for kidney stones and party sources said this is not the first time he has undergone such surgery.
“Azmin left the hospital yesterday after a visit from the Agong. He has returned home to rest,” said the source who refused to be named.
Yesterday, the new Yang di-Pertuan Agong visited Azmin.
This was disclosed by the minister’s daughter Farah Amira in a tweet, in which she also attached two pictures of her father and Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah in the ward.
“My family and I were honoured to have the Yang di-Pertuan Agong XVI Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah visited Abah @AzminAli this evening.
“Indeed, the love and concern showed by His Majesty will be Abah @AzminAli’s strength to regain health and continue to serve the people and the country,” she tweeted.
A day earlier, the prime minister’s wife, Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali, also visited Azmin, who was accompanied by his wife, Shamsidar Taharin.
Today, PKR president Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Deputy Prime Minister Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, visited Azmin at his home in Ampang, Selangor.
