Only four new Covid-19 infections were reported in Malaysia today and all are imported cases, said Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said this brings the cumulative figure of cases to 8,729.
“The four new cases were infected overseas, involving three Malaysians and a non-citizen (resident or allowed to enter Malaysia for work purposes),” he said at a press conference on Covid-19 today.
Four patients have recovered today, bringing the total number of patients discharged so far to 8,524, or 97.7 percent of the total number of cases.
“There are currently 83 active cases. Six patients are being treated in the intensive care unit, with two needing respiratory assistance,” Dr Noor Hisham said.
No new Covid-19 related deaths were reported, with the toll remaining at 122.
