Malaysia recorded 935 new Covid-19 infections on Thursday (Nov 26).
The Health Ministry said there are 935 new cases today, including four imported ones.
After Sabah, Selangor recorded the second-highest number of cases out of all states with 161, followed by Negri Sembilan with 158 cases.
Active cases have gone down to 11,348.
Cumulatively, Malaysia’s Covid-19 cases have reached 60,752.
In a statement, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also said the country discharged 2,555 patients, once again breaking the record for recoveries in a single day.
The day before, Malaysia discharged 2,348 patients.
In total, 49,056 patients have recovered from Covid-19 in the country.
Currently, 110 people are being treated at intensive care units, with 45 of them requiring ventilator support.
There were also three new Covid-19 fatalities, taking the country’s death toll to 348.
On the three new deaths, Dr Noor Hisham said all the cases were in Sabah involving two women and one man, aged between 59 and 77.
Meanwhile, six new clusters have been detected. They are the Bot Biru and Blok 31 clusters from Tawau, Sabah; the Gemilang cluster in Johor Bahru, Johor; the Sungai Udang construction site cluster in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur; the Chengal cluster involving Kota Bharu and Machang in Kelantan; and the Damar Laut cluster involving the Timur Laut and Barat Daya districts in Penang and also Padang Terap in Kedah.
