The manager of a goldsmith shop at a supermarket in Sri Kembangan was shot dead by a robber on Friday (April 19).
The 28-year-old victim was shot in the chest in the 7.13pm incident, Selangor Criminal Investigation Department head Fadzil Ahmat said.
Reportedly, three men burst into the store waving pistols.
“Based on the closed-circuit television (CCTV) recording at the scene, four robbers arrived at the supermarket compound on two motorcycles.
“Three of the robbers, who were wearing full-face helmets as well as reflective vests, entered the supermarket and headed to the goldsmith shop while another suspect waited outside.
“One of the robbers, unhappy that the supervisor ignored their orders, shot him in the chest,” he told reporters.
Fadzil said the manager, who was from Perak, was with a female staff.
He said the robbers left within two to three minutes with four trays of jewellery.

“An early investigation found that the gunman used a semi-automatic pistol based on the shell found at the scene,” he said.
It was reported that the store manager died instantly.
A woman, the only other employee at the shop, was unharmed.
