MCA to Contest Two Parliamentary, 10 State Seats in Negri

MCA will be contesting two parliamentary seats and 10 state seats in Negri Sembilan, while Gerakan will contest two state seats here for GE14. 

Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan made the announcement on Monday (April 23).

The two parliamentary seats MCA will be contesting are Seremban and Rasah.

MCA Youth chief Datuk Chong Sin Woon will contest the Seremban seat while MCA Youth legal bureau chief Ng Kian Nam will take on the Rasah seat.

Negri MCA chairman Datuk Seri Dr Lim Chin Fui, who will be contesting for the Chuah state seat, said most of the MCA candidates are fresh faces.

Meanwhile, Negri Gerakan chairman Choong Vee Hing and Gerakan national complaints bureau adviser Mah Kah Keong will contest the Seremban Jaya and Bukit Kepayang state seats respectively.

The following is the MCA and Gerakan candidates line-up:

Parliament seats 

  • Seremban – Datuk Chong Sin Woon
  • Rasah – Ng Kian Nam

State seats

  • Chennah – Seet Tee Gee
  • Bahau – Chong Wan Yu
  • Nilai – Leaw Kok Chan
  • Lobak – Lim Kok Kian
  • Temiang – Siow Koi Voon
  • Bukit Kepayang – Mak Kah Keong (Gerakan)
  • Rahang – Yap Siok Moy
  • Mambau – Ho Choy Shin
  • Seremban Jaya (previously known as Senawang) – Choong Vee Hing (Gerakan)
  • Chuah – Datuk Seri Dr Lim Chin Fui
  • Lukut – Yeong Kun You
  • Repah – Koh Kim Swee
