A 39-year-old single mother who forced her two daughters into having sex with Bangladeshi men has been handed a 150-year jail sentence after she pleaded guilty to 10 charges of prostituting them – five charges for each daughter.

She was charged with prostituting the girls to two men at a budget hotel in Larkin Perdana, Johor Baru, on five different dates – on Oct 1 and then for four days in a row from Oct 4 to Oct 7.
The unemployed woman was accused of selling her children, aged 10 and 13 years old, for RM50 a session.
Reportedly, she also watched as her daughters conducted the acts.
Clad in an orange tudung, blue top and long pants, the accused was calm when Judge Kamarudin Kamsun read out the sentence.
She was charged under Section 31(1)(b) of the Child Act 2001 read together with Section 16(1) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 for the offences.
She pleaded guilty to a total of 10 charges.
The mother, who was unrepresented, pleaded for a just a fine, citing that she has two young children aged five and fours years to care for.
Sessions Judge Kamarudin Kamsun said the offences were of a serious nature, and he took into account public interest in sentencing.
He sentenced her to 15 years’ jail for each charge – in total, 150 years’ imprisonment. However, the sentences will run concurrently for charges with the same dates, meaning she is set to spend 75 years in jail.
She also escaped caning.
The accused was arrested by police on Oct 25 at their home in Taman Bintang in Senai.
She was living with her daughters, who are from her fourth and fifth marriages, in one of six rooms at a two-storey commercial lot in the area.
