Remand extension application rejected.

Umno Youth’s Wan Muhammad Azri Wan Deris, better known as “Papagomo” has been released on police bail.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Mazlan Mansor said that Muhammad Azri was released on Monday (Dec 3).

“He was released after we had our second remand order application rejected,” Mazlan said.

However, Mazlan said investigations are still underway and the public will be informed of any developments.

The popular blogger was detained on Thursday (Nov 29) to help in a probe over a video that he posted on Facebook that was deemed seditious, allegedly spread racial hatred and touched on religious sensitivities.

In the video, Papagomo, who now uses the “Sir Azri” online moniker, labelled ethnic Indians as “squatters” and urged for ethnic minorities to be stripped of voting rights.

The video has been viewed over 327,000 times and shared across various social media platforms.
