Flesh trade racket operating at massage centres and budget hotels busted.
An international prostitution ring operating at several massage centres and budget hotels in Kuala Lumpur has been crippled by the Putrajaya Immigration Department.
In a recent operation code-named Ops Gegar, 13 female foreigners were nabbed together with two men, believed to be the women’s pimps.
The department’s chief deputy assistant director, Datuk Shahril Ismail said the operation was conducted at two massage centres and a budget hotel at Taman OUG, Jalan Klang Lama.
The detained comprised four Vietnamese, four Thais, three Indonesians, one Filipina and one Pakistani.
They were held for not having valid travel documents and for over-staying.
All detainees were sent to the Bukit Jalil Detention Depot to facilitate further investigation.
