A road bully who spat on the window of a car belonging to a student has been remanded for four days.
Petaling Jaya Asst Comm Nik Ezanee Mohd Faisal, when contacted, said the 61-year-old suspect had been remanded on Saturday (March 7).
Prior to this, the police received a report on a road-bullying incident from a 22-year-old student in Kota Damansara on Thursday (March 5).
It is believed that the disagreement began after the two drivers switched lanes along Jalan Teknologi, Section 6 in Kota Damansara.
The incident, which was caught on camera, saw the suspect showing a lewd hand gesture and shouting at the victim from inside his car.
After overtaking the victim’s car, he came out of his vehicle and started pounding at the victim’s car window.
When the victim refused to get out of the car, the man spat at the victim’s car window and damaged a side mirror before leaving.
Following the incident, the 55-second video clip was shared and went viral.
Police arrested the suspect around 7pm on Friday (March 6).
The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for committing mischief and causing damage.
