Sultan Nazrin consented to Faizal’s reappointment following his resignation as the 12th menteri besar on March 10.

A day earlier, Faizal had announced that Perikatan Nasional, comprising BN, PAS and Bersatu, had the mandate to form a new state government after it obtained the support of 32 out of 59 state assemblymen.

The latest composition of the Perak state legislative comprises 25 from BN, DAP (16), Amanah (5), Bersatu (4), PKR (3), PAS (3) and independent (3).

Meanwhile, Faizal told reporters outside the palace today that three more assemblymen would take their oaths as exco members soon.

On the portfolios of all newly minted exco members, Faizal said the matter would be discussed with them soon.
