Surprise Gold from Synchronised Swimmer Gan

Malaysia’s fourth SEA Games gold was a surprise pulled off by synchronised swimmer Gan Hua Wei at the National Aquatics Centre in Bukit Jalil yesterday.

With an impressive routine, the 18-year-old came out tops in a field of nine participants in the solo technical event.

Two Singaporeans – Debbie Soh and Miya Yong Hsing – took the silver and bronze respectively.

Malaysia won its first gold, which was also the first Kuala Lumpur 2017 SEA Games gold medal, from chinlone linking on Wednesday.
