A tale of childhood teasing that many Malaysians would be able to relate to.
Petroleum Nasional Berhad (Petronas) has wrapped up this festive season with the release of a webfilm, ‘Arathi’s First Love’ in conjunction with the festival of lights, Deepavali.
Petronas Group Strategic Communications senior general manager, Zahariah Abd Rahman said the webfilm espouses the essence and spirit of Deepavali.
‘Arathi’s First Love’ marks the final festive web film production by Petronas, known for its heart-warming short films, this year.
“We hope its message for social cohesion and unity continue to resonate strongly with all Malaysians and serve to remind us of the many intrinsic values that bind and unify us together as a nation,” she added.
The Deepavali webfilm, one of the many festive campaign advertisements by Petronas, this time follows five young talents as they experience life lessons through friendship and forgiveness.
It centres on the main character, Arathi, and her growing fondness towards a new transfer student, Ivan.
Due to her affection for Ivan, Arathi is mischievously teased and made fun by her friends, which unintentionally end up hurting her feelings.
However, the friends realised their mistake and apologised to her and she willingly accepts the apology and forgives them.
