Inix announced Mohammad Fuzi’s resignation in its filing to Bursa Malaysia today, saying he wanted to spend time on personal interest and on-going businesses.

Mohamad Fuzi succeeded Macau tycoon Wan Kuok Koi, who resigned as Inix’s chairman on Dec 2.

Wan was appointed Inix chairman in August.

Mohammad Fuzi was replaced by Tan Sri Syed Mohd Yusof Tun Syed Nasir.

Syed Mohd Yusof, 73, is currently non-independent non-executive director of Titijaya Land Bhd.

He also sits on the board of several private limited companies.

Syed Mohd Yusof previously served in various positions, including Petronas, before leaving to venture into business.

He was formerly the Southern Bank Bhd, Killinghall (Malaysia) Bhd and YLI Holdings Bhd chairman, former director of Southern Finance Bhd and AM Trustee Bhd.

“Syed Mohd Yusof has accumulated vast experience in diverse areas such as property development, construction, media, entertainment, hotel management and hospitality, food and beverage, banking and information technology,” Inix said. – NST
