What is stranger than a man without a stitch on in public is the people who seem unperturbed by the bare naked sight.

Yesterday morning, a video went viral on social media and messaging apps of a naked man walking near a market close to St Anne’s Church in Bukit Mertajam.

The short clip shows a man who appears to be in his 50s walking along the road divider outside the Kampung Baru market with his hands clasped and his arms stretched upward like in prayer.

The man then kneels on the ground and starts raising and lowering his arms as though in worship.

The whole bizarre incident takes place during pouring rain with vehicles passing him by with no motorist even slowing down or stopping for a look.

Central Seberang Perai district police chief ACP Nik Ros Azhan Nik Abdul Hamid said there had been no reports on the matter so far, FMT reported.

On Jul 26, a young man in Hong Kong also took to the streets wearing nothing except a pair of foam clogs. He walked at a normal pace in touristy Tsim Sha Tsui and rode the MTR through six stations during the evening rush hour.

Most pedestrians and train commuters were unperturbed – as if it was a common sight.
