Handed over to the MACC documents on corruption allegations against elder brother.
TV host Azwan Ali was at the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) headquarters in Putrajaya this morning to submit documents that purportedly show evidence of graft involving Selangor menteri besar Datuk Seri Azmin Ali.
Clad in black and donning oversized sunglasses, he arrived in a black Toyota Alphard at about 10am.
“I have been summoned by the MACC and I have lots of documents to submit.”You just wait and see,” he told the media briefly before heading inside the office.
Asked how many documents will be submitted, Azwan said “the thickness of the documents shows the seriousness in exposing the issue.”
He exited the office 10 minutes later.
“Nobody forced my hand in revealing this information, but only Allah who has guided me along the way. It has nothing to do with the upcoming General Election and the submission is purely coincidental.
“I am here because of MACC and I do not want to name names. You can speculate but it is known who am I referring to,” he told reporters.
Azwan said he is apolitical and was only doing his duty to assist in MACC’s investigations as the commission was a neutral organisation, the Malay Mail reported.
He added that he believed the documents contained relevant information on certain misconduct and excessive wealth of a certain political leader, without naming anyone.
When he made an appearance during the Umno general assembly earlier this month, Azwan said he would assist Barisan Nasional in “taking down” Azmin in the coalition’s efforts to take over Selangor in the 14th general election.

He had said he had “a million ideas to destroy” Azmin and vowed to expose his brother’s secrets “one by one”.
On Monday, the colourful celebrity posted a video on his Instagram account of him meeting with Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Razali Ibrahim for lunch.

According to Utusan Malaysia, the meeting was to discuss information on alleged corruption and abuse of power by Azwan’s family members.
The meeting lasted two hours, but Razali refused to review the evidence provided to him, telling Azwan that it should be handed over to the MACC instead.
“We should not speculate on anything and let MACC do its job. It is not for us to determine whether the evidence presented is the truth or not,” Razali reportedly said, adding that he informed the MACC about the matter and it agreed to meet Azwan on Wednesday.
MACC deputy chief commissioner (operations) Datuk Azam Baki was quoted as saying in an Utusan Malaysia report yesterday that the meeting was to gain more information on the alleged abuse of power and corruption involving Azwan’s family members.
“I told him the best avenue for him to file a complaint is with the MACC. Although I am in charge of MACC (affairs), I am not in a position to take any action.
“I didn’t want to look at the documents because I am not the agency body investigating the matter.

“(Azwan) wants to meet us. We never called him. He said he wanted to meet with MACC, so he is welcome to come here.
“I have no idea what information (he has), so we have to wait for (Wednesday) and see what…he will bring to us,” he told the New Straits Times.
