Cabnet Holdings Bhd dismissed rumours and news circulating on social media that its subsidiary, Cabnet Systems (M) Sdn Bhd had secured a close-circuit television (CCTV) system contract worth RM173 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the building management solutions provider said news and documents had been circulating which claimed that Cabnet Systems received a letter of award from the Ministry of Home Affairs for the supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of CCTV systems, lift access systems, and door access systems for police lock-ups nationwide.
“The board wishes to clarify that the news is fake and has no basis, and that the company has not been awarded any such contract,” it said.
Cabnet Holdings added that the board was not aware of the origin of the news and would be taking all actions deemed necessary to safeguard the company’s interest and reputation, including making reports to relevant authorities.
