Updated: Remanded for four days until Dec 22.

He is expected to be brought before the Putrajaya Magistrate’s Court this morning for his remand order.

It is believed that his arrest is in connection with the probe by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) surrounding the use of TH’s interior design firm AG Reka, a subsidiary of the pilgrimage fund, to furnish his home with free wardrobes.

Adi is represented by senior lawyer Shaharudin Ali.

Police are also probing TH over alleged misappropriation of funds.

It was reported last month that TH had lodged two police reports against its former chairman, Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim, former chief executive officers Ismee Ismail and Johan Abdullah, as well as senior management staff.

The senior staff members are Adi, chief financial officer Rozaida Omar, legal adviser Hazlina Mohd Khalid and senior general manager for corporate services and real estate Rifina Md Ariff.

The reports lodged were the first following internal investigations into past transactions, spearheaded by the new management, since July 2018.

TH has been making the news for the wrong reasons, including for overstating its profits and paying dividends it could ill afford for years.
