Former Penang chief minister Lim Guan Eng is expected to be charged in court tomorrow morning for his alleged involvement in the RM6.3 billion Penang undersea tunnel project.
He will be charged at the Kuala Lumpur special corruption court under Section 16(a)(A) of the MACC Act 2009.
MACC in a statement said that the former finance minister will also be charged under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009 at the Penang Sessions court on Aug 10.
Meanwhile, MACC also said that Lim would be charged for a separate case on Aug 11 under Section 23 of the MACC Act 2009 at the Penang Sessions Court.
The statement came after he was questioned by the MACC for more than an hour at its Putrajaya headquarters tonight.
At this point of time, it is unclear if Lim would be detained overnight.
