MACC wants Jho Low back in Malaysia.
MACC chief commissioner, Datuk Seri Mohd Shukri Abdull, said they are still looking for the alleged 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) mastermind Jho Low.
“Not only MACC but enforcement agencies worldwide such as in the United States and Singapore, are also looking for him,” he said.
Last month, reports surfaced that Low was prepared to meet MACC investigators in Dubai.
When asked if his officers will meet Low in the Middle Eastern city, Mohd Shukri said: “He’s Malaysian. Come back to Malaysia”.
Shukri, who is also a member of the special 1MDB taskforce, denied a purported plan by Malaysian investigators to meet with Low in Dubai.
Online portal The Malaysian Insight last month quoted unnamed government sources as saying that Low’s lawyers have initiated discussions with Malaysian authorities investigating the 1MDB scandal.
