‘Denial’ too late as SR made people believe he killed Kevin Morais, says the former PM.

Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak says that an admission by Sarawak Report (SR) that they are unsure if he was responsible for the murder of Kevin Morais is too late as people already think that he did it.

“The blog has successfully influenced many people that I am a murderer by defaming and slandering me”, the former prime minister wrote in a Facebook post on Thursday (Oct 4).

SR published an article stating that they are unsure if murdered former deputy public prosecutor (DPP) Morais was indeed the person who drafted a charge sheet against Najib.

“Most annoying is when Sarawak Report writes: ‘It seems that Najib’s attempt to set aside Morais’s involvement would be able to remove all the motives associated with the allegations made against the former prime minister. He (Najib) may be right.

“After three years of Sarawak Report repeatedly claiming that I was responsible for the death of Kevin Morais, they suddenly put up an article yesterday saying they were no longer sure,” Najib said in the Facebook posting.

SR had claimed Morais was murdered five weeks after he allegedly drafted a charge against me, and this was denied repeatedly by the MACC during that time and was reported in local media.

“They are now writing, “Sarawak Report has never stated the two incidents – the death of Kevin and the SRC / 1MDB case – are related.

“The blog has managed to influence many people with fraud and malicious lies all this while that I am a killer,” Najib added.
