Najib left the Bukit Aman Commercial Crimes Investigations Department (CCID) headquarters just as quietly as he arrived this morning.
After being interviewed by the police’s CCID for three hours, former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak managed to avoid the press by heading straight to his car parked on one of Menara KPJ’s basement levels.
Umno supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam said the former prime minister had left at about 1.05pm.
“He gave his statement from 10am to about 1pm and I have been informed that he has just left the building.

“What I know is that he is heading home to his residence along Langgak Duta,” said Lokman.
When asked why Najib did not want to meet the press, Lokman said: “You got to ask him about that.”
“If there’s any second session, we’ll inform through Telegram (app),” Lokman said when asked if Najib would be called to give further statements to the police.
The Umno leader said he was not able to meet with Najib, as he was also being interviewed elsewhere in the building by the police, on other issues, at the same time as Najib.
Najib is believed to have arrived at the CCID headquarters on Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, to provide his statement on their investigation into the 1MDB scandal at 9.40am.
He dodged the assembled media awaiting his arrival at the main entrance of the building by entering through the basement level entrance.
The building houses the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Anti-Money Laundering Unit.
Reportedly, Najib was grilled in relation to the luxury items seized from several premises linked to him as well as on the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal.
He was allegedly asked about the origin of the items and how he acquired them.
This was the fourth time Najib was called up to record statement on the 1MDB case.
Prior to this, the Pekan MP was called up on Aug 27 and 30, and then on Sept 30 to record his statement on the case.
