Reiterates that he is willing to spill the beans.

Former policeman Sirul Azhar Umar, who was convicted of murdering Altantuya Shariibuu, stressed again his willingness to reveal what happened.

He has even written a personal letter to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad, said vocal former Umno leader and Mahathir loyalist Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan.

In a statement today, Khairuddin said he met with Sirul on June 28, at the Villawood Detention Camp in Sydney.

“We had a long talk, for about one-and-a-half hours. Sirul seems healthy and calm. Insya-Allah, I am convinced the truth about Altantuya Shaaribu’s murder will be revealed,” said Khairuddin.

He added Sirul had passed him a personal letter addressed to Dr Mahathir.

“The letter is sealed and even I don’t know its content. I will deliver the letter to the Prime Minister when I return to Malaysia in a few days,” he said.

Sirul also told Khairuddin that he missed his family back home.

“Sirul looks extremely energetic now and is no longer in fear as he believes in a new judicial system in Malaysia under Pakatan Harapan.”

According to Khairuddin, Sirul was ready to cooperate with Malaysian police, saying he has more trust in the public institutions under the present government.
