The identity of “Mr H” said to be a high-ranking individual in the Community Communications Department (J-Kom) has been revealed to the police.
Datuk Dr Mohammad Agus Yusoff, the former department director general, said he revealed this when questioned by police at the Kajang police headquarters.
“I revealed who Mr H is and answered what they needed for further investigation,” he said.
Agus added that he also lodged a report against Raja Petra Kamarudin for allegedly uploading a copy of an initial police report which revealed his personal information.
“It is baffling how he (Raja Petra) can get the full report and I have asked the police to conduct an internal investigation,” he said on Monday (Nov 20).
The police report contained the same allegations Agus made at his press conference on Friday, including that an individual had approached him early last week, and showed him the video in question.
The individual then told him to either quit or go on leave as J-Kom director-general.
Agus tendered his resignation on Thursday.
A video call recording between Agus and another J-KOM officer, Abdul Wahab Abdul Kadir, went viral recently.
It is alleged to have been edited by irresponsible parties.
This was admitted by Wahab in a press conference with Agus, who claimed that he took instructions from a Mr H, who made him an ‘offer’ in exchange for the video.
The 34-year-old Wahab in his confession claimed that the video call he screen-recorded was muted without audio, but the one which went viral had audio, allegedly edited to put Agus in a bad light.
