The Pakatan Harapan (PH) presidential council’s ‘top five’ will now be the ‘top six’ with the inclusion of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
This morning, the ‘top five’ – Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, Lim Guan Eng, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Mohamad Sabu – met to discuss Anwar’s role.
Anwar had arrived at the Yayasan Selangor earlier to meet with Dr Mahathir but it is understood that he did not attend the high-level presidential council meeting.
He was also not present for the subsequent press conference.
According to PKR president Dr Wan Azizah, Anwar will be attending the council’s next meeting.
“The top six will meet more often and when there is an issue they will be ones to meet and take immediate action,” Dr Mahathir said.
