Six of the 23 victims killed in the deadly landslide at Fathers’ Organic Farm campsite, in Gohtong Jaya, have been identified as of 7 am today.
The National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA) in a statement said the victim’s identity was ascertained by their next of kin or through a fingerprint identification test.
The agency said post-mortem and other body identification processes involving the victims are still underway.
The victims who died are:
- Lim Wei Xin (female-adult)
- Hong Mei Jing (female-adult)
- Nurul Azmani (female-adult)
- Lai Lee Yin (female-adult)
- Tong Kai (boy – 9 years old)
- Lai Lee Koo (female-adult)
Meanwhile, four people are still receiving treatment at Selayang Hospital, one at Kuala Lumpur Hospital, while three who received treatment at the Kuala Kubu Baru Hospital were discharged yesterday.
The following is a list of the names of the victims who are being treated or discharged:
- Yam Lee Yen – Female,41; Hospital Selayang (Warded)
- Ng Wei Lun – Female, 13; Hospital Kuala Kubu Baru (Discharged – Dec 16)
- Mg Tan – Male,34; Hospital Kuala Kubu Baru (Discharged – Dec 16)
- Sandy Cheah – Female, 32; Hospital Kuala Kubu Baru (Discharged Dec 16)
- Tan Ei An – Male, 43; Hospital Selayang (Warded)
- Choo Wai Lun – Female, 34; Hospital Selayang (Warded)
- Ling Zi Zuan – Female, 19; Hospital Kuala Lumpur (Warded)
- Loh Teng Shu – Male, 44; Hospital Selayang (Warded)

Meanwhile, family members and next-of-kin of those who had perished continue to arrive at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
A number of them were seen entering the hospital’s forensic department.
It is understood that they are there to identify the remains of their loved ones.

Many were seen crying and consoling each other as they made their way to the department to begin the identification process.
Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh had earlier arrived at the hospital and entered the forensic department. It was believed that she was there to meet the next-of-kin of the deceased.
