Kinabatangan Member of Parliament Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin was laid to rest at the Kampung Likas Muslim Cemetery at 2.25pm today.

A light drizzle began shortly after the burial, lending a calm and subdued atmosphere to the ceremony.
The funeral cortege arrived at 1.45pm and was met by people from various communities and faiths who had gathered to pay their final respects. Many attendees helped with the burial rites, including carrying the remains, preparing the grave and completing the earthworks.
Among those present were Sabah Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Jafry Ariffin, who is also Sabah Umno secretary; Sabah Umno treasurer Datuk Seri Salleh Said Keruak; Kawang state assemblyman Datuk Seri Ghulam Haidar Khan Bahadar; as well as family members and close colleagues.
Bung, 66, died at a private hospital in Kota Kinabalu at 1.46am today, as confirmed by his son, Naim Kurniawan Moktar. He had retained the Lamag state seat in the 17th Sabah State Election on 29 November.
The Kinabatangan MP and Lamag assemblyman leaves behind his two wives, Datin Seri Nor Asidah Alimuddin and Datin Seri Zizie Izette Abdul Samad, and nine children.
He will be remembered as a fierce, bold and unconventional leader who spoke his mind, yet remained warm and kind-hearted among family and friends.
