In a video that has gone viral, a woman caught throwing heavy pieces of junk from the fourth floor of a flat cried and apologised after having been chided.

Fresh from mourning the senseless death of 15-year-old student S Satiswaran who was killed on Monday after he was struck by an office chair thrown from the upper floor of a flat in Pantai Dalam, another case of furniture and other large objects being hurled from a high-rise building has come to light.

A Facebook post on Jan 2 showed photos of plastic chairs and other litter such as parts from a kitchen stove and an electric fan on the ground floor of a block of flats in Shah Alam.

In the post, Cma Sima claimed the culprit, a woman believed to be a cleaner for the building, was caught throwing down the objects from the fourth floor of the flats.

When confronted, the woman said that she made sure no one was on the ground floor when she threw the objects down.

“Turns out, they always do this at the other blocks. As long as no one chides them, they will keep doing it,” Cma Sima wrote.

The Facebook user added that the woman’s actions are endangering residents’ safety, especially children, as there is a playground nearby.

In an accompanying video, the woman is seen crying and apologising after having been chided for her irresponsible actions.

It is believed that Cma Sima told the woman to pick up the junk she threw.
