A 32-year-old man nabbed for assaulting a worker at a mobile phone shop.
A man, believed to be a customer of a mobile phone shop located at Plaza Metro Kajang, went to the outlet at about 7pm on Friday and demanded his money back from the victim’s colleague.
According to Kajang police chief ACP Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof, the suspect created a commotion and threatened to assault the victim’s colleague if he did not get a refund.
“A scuffle ensued and the victim tried to break it up.
“However, witnesses claimed that the suspect then hit the victim with a motorcycle helmet,” Ahmad said.
The assault was witnessed by the mall’s patrons, who recorded the incident with their mobile phones, he added.
“We already arrested the suspect and seized the helmet used to assault the victim.
“The man has been remanded until Tuesday,” he said.
