Ferrari 488 Spider Hits Three Signboards, Badly Damaged

Luxury car crashes have been on the rise, this time it’s a more than RM2 million Ferrari which was badly damaged after hitting three road signs.

A blue Ferrari 488 Spider worth about HK$4 million (RM2.145 million) crashed into three roadside signs in Aberdeen, Hong Kong, with video footage of the incident quickly going viral on social media.

The accident occurred at about 2pm when the sports car turned into Yue Kwong Road from Aberdeen Reservoir Road.

Police said the driver, 36, claimed he was trying to avoid hitting a dog that was crossing the road. The department said that the man passed an alcohol test.

In the video, the luxury sports car is seen heading uphill along Aberdeen Reservoir Road before turning to the right onto Yue Kwong Road and promptly hitting the signs.

Photos from the scene showed the front of the car badly damaged, with the signs wedged into it.

Police said no one was injured in the accident.

The Ferrari 488 Spider has a maximum 670 horsepower and can go from zero to 60mph in under three seconds.
