All “frozen” cases at the Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) will be reopened, said Abdul Hamid Bador.
The inspector-general of police did not provide details, only saying these unresolved investigations include online cheating cases.
“There are many CCID cases that have not been resolved because the investigating officers did not do their job well. There are also cases that were just not investigated.
“There are cases where arrest warrants were issued, and those with reports lodged back in 2013, but no action was taken,” he told Bernama at the federal police headquarters today.
He said these cases will be reopened so that the victims get justice.
“We will find the investigating officers and tell them to complete the probe within a month.”
He said police will go all out against online gambling.
“I’m not going to compromise. I forbid any gambling towkay from meeting me or trying to be nice to me.”
The top cop added that birthday parties and other celebrations in the office are no longer allowed for police.
