Rumours spread after a name appeared in the manifest with the last name ‘Jamaluddin’.

Ikwan Hafiz Jamaluddin, the son of the late Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis, denied that he was among the 10 victims on board the ill-fated Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) aircraft that crashed on the Guthrie Highway near Bandar Elmina in Shah Alam, Selangor, this afternoon.

Ikwan Hafiz, 36, in a brief statement to Bernama, said the report published in the mainstream media stating he as among those listed on board the light aircraft was untrue and false.

Sinar Harian reported that the family is asking the public to stop spreading rumours after a name appeared in the manifest with the last name ‘Jamaluddin’.

On April 4, 2016 a Dauphin 9M-IGB helicopter carrying Jamaluddin and five other passengers crashed in a rubber estate in Kampung Pasir Baru, Sungai Pening, Semenyih.

The group was en route to Subang after attending the wedding reception of former Prime Minister Najib Razak’s daughter in Taman Tasik Sultan Abu Bakar, Pekan, Pahang.
