Detained for alleged Child Act violation.
Police have arrested a 36-year-old woman, the elder sister of murdered single woman, Mila Sharmila Samsusah or Bella, to assist in the investigation into the circulation of images of a child on social media, at 2.10am today.

Norisham Samsusah was arrested for sharing the picture of a four-year-old believed to be a family member of Bella’s boyfriend, who is also the suspect in the case.
Batu Pahat district police chief ACP Ismail Dollah said Norisham was arrested when she appeared to give her statement at Batu Pahat district police headquarters (IPD), in connection with a complaint from a woman who claimed that the photos of her child were circulated ‘live’ via TikTok.
“We have also seized a mobile phone that we believe was used for the ‘live’ session.
“The suspect has been remanded for one day (today), under Section 15 of the Child Act 2001,” he said in a statement today.
Ismail also urged the public not to speculate which could interfere with the investigation.
Norisham, who appeared before Batu Pahat Magistrate Nurasidah A Rahman, was accompanied by her two lawyers, Nur Aminahtul Mardiah Md Nor and Nurul Hafidzah Hassan.
The case is being investigated under Section 15 of the Child Act 2001 for sharing information that would lead to the identification of the child.
Upon conviction, the Act carries a fine of not more than RM10,000, imprisonment of not more than 10 years, or both.
On Jan 24, a former postman was charged in the Batu Pahat Magistrate’s Court with Bella’s murder at an abandoned house in Tongkang Pechah.
The charge, framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carries the death penalty.
On Dec 14, it was reported that Bella, a single mother of two children, could not be contacted after she was last seen leaving the house in her boyfriend’s car wearing only a dark blue caftan to do laundry at a laundromat.
On Friday, an incomplete human skeleton was found in an abandoned house at Lorong Imam Jailani, Batu Pahat, after one of the arrested suspects led the police to the scene.
