Cops seek to gag Lokman.
Police are investigating Lokman Noor Adam for violation of several laws, including the Sedition Act.
CID chief Huzir Mohamed said 17 investigation papers were open on the Umno Supreme Councillor.
“There are seven investigation papers under Bukit Aman’s Classified Criminal Investigation Unit (USJT) and 10 more with the other contingents.

“He is regularly making statements which border on the seditious,” Huzir said.
“He has produced a lot of statements which are provocative in nature and stir racial discord.”
This month, Lokman was charged at the Shah Alam Magistrate’s Court with inciting or being likely to incite the public to commit an offence against another community, where he pleaded not guilty.
Lokman is among the individuals with the most number of cases on the police files for sedition, Huzir said.
Huzir also said Lokman’s latest alleged infringement was his social media post on October 27 entitled ‘Bersiap sedia untuk peperangan paling dahsyat’ (Get ready for the most terrible war).
Lokman also claimed that Mahathir during his trip to Azerbaijan had been briefed by Special Branch officers that he only had support from 48 MPs, compared to Anwar who had 113 MPs backing him.

“Mahathir would do everything in his power to make sure Anwar does not become the PM,” Lokman wrote.
Huzir said police were seeking a court order or bond to ensure Lokman did not repeat some of his earlier statements.
Lokman would have to report to the nearest police station every month, if the court order came through, he said.
“I wish to remind Lokman that police can take action against him whenever we want and he should stop making such statements,” he said.
Lokman is known to defend former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak in his protests against the Pakatan Harapan government, and actively issues statements via social media.
In March, he and four others were charged over a fracas with Universiti Malaya students and journalists.
In June, Lokman was arrested by the police for obstructing public officials from discharging their duties and using abusive language against the police when they search his house in Kajang Hillpark.
He had earlier issued statements on the sex video which implicated Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali.
