The Rural Development Ministry has announced the appointment of five chairmen for agencies under the ministry for a two-year period from today until April 30, 2022.

The five are Beaufort Member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Azizah Mohd appointed as chairman of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), Jempol MP Datuk Mohd Salim Sharif as chairman of Rubber Smallholders Development Authority (Risda) and Bachok MP Nik Mohamad Abduh Nik Abdul Aziz as chairman of South Kelantan Development Authority (Kesedar).
Senator Datuk Razali Idris has been appointed as chairman of the Central Terengganu Development Authority (Ketengah) and Permas assemblyman Datuk Che Zakaria Mohd Salleh as chairman of Southeast Johor Development Authority (Kejora).
The ministry in a statement today said its Minister Datuk Dr Abd Latiff Ahmad presented the appointment letter to the five chairmen after obtaining the consent of Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
“The appointments were made after taking into account their leadership capabilities, experiences and contributions to the people,” the statement said.
