Muar MP Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman had his statement taken on Thursday (May 27) over his claims that former Prasarana chairman Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman had flouted Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOP).
The former Youth and Sports minister had pointed out, in a tweet, that wearing a face shield without a face mask was a violation of SOP under the current movement control order.
In the post, he included screenshots of two news reports, one with a photograph of Tajuddin and another with Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
He noted wearing a face shield without a face mask was a punishable offence.
Syed Saddiq who entered Dang Wangi police headquarters at 12.30pm said he spent around one and a half hours with investigators.
“The investigation is connected to the tweet I posted on Tajuddin.

“Thankfully today I entered and came out with my mobile phone,” he said, adding this was his second time being called up by police within a week to have his statement taken.
On Saturday (May 22), Syed Saddiq gave a statement to police after he commented on the death of A. Ganapathy in police custody.
In a video, Syed Saddiq said police brutality was a serious issue and that if such a fate could befall the victims, “it could happen to us”.
He arrived at the Dang Wangi police headquarters around 9.55am on that day.
Police then seized his iPhone 11 Pro Max and sim card.
