Three Arrested for Robbing 7-Eleven Store

Police have arrested three male suspects for robbing a 7-Eleven store here recently.

A video of the robbery that took place on Jul 13 at around 2am has been making its rounds on social media.

Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Mohd Zani Che Din said police received a report of the robbery and made the arrests of the three suspects on Monday at PJS 2B/2 Taman Medan here.

They have been remanded for four days from Jul 18.

Two of the men were 20 years old while the other was 21.

The trio would be investigated under Section 395 and 397 of the Penal Code for armed robbery.

In the 40-second video, three men wearing helmets are seen barging into the store.

One of them, armed with a machete, approaches a staff of the outlet while the other two head for the counter. One man tries to open the cash register but fails, while the other suspect fills a bag with boxes of cigarettes.

With their loot in hand, the three dash out of the store.
