Datuk David Wong Dak Wah was sworn in as the new Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak while Tan Sri Ahmad Maarop was sworn in as the new president of the Court of Appeal at the Palace of Justice in Putrajaya on Thursday.

Wong replaces Tan Sri Richard Malanjum, who was elevated to Chief Justice of Malaysia on Wednesday (July 11) night.

Also present were Attorney-General Tommy Thomas and former chief justice Tun Md Raus Sharif.
Malanjum replaces Md Raus, who resigned as the Chief Justice on Wednesday.
