Two masked men, one armed with a parang, barged into the Wah Chan store in Giant Kota Damansara and within minutes, fled with a million-ringgit loot.

Terrified onlookers and store workers could only watch as the incident unfolded at around 10.30am yesterday morning.
Unlike some recent goldsmith shop robberies, the display showcases were not smashed as they were unlocked because the workers were preparing to open for business.
District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Zani Che Din said police were alerted at 10.51am.
“Initial investigation showed that four workers, including the security guard, were preparing to open premises when the men barged in.
“One of them brandished a parang, aimed it at the security guard, and took away his gun.
“The other went out to the booth, located in front of the premises, and scooped up seven trays of jewellery from the unlocked display panel,” Zani said.
He added that the men then fled the scene in a white Nissan Almera parked near the hypermarket entrance.
Police found the security guard’s pump gun in the shopping mall’s compound and are retrieving the closed-circuit television footage around the vicinity to trace the men.
The case is being investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code for gang robbery.
Meanwhile, three men took less than two minutes to escape with jewellery worth RM15,000 from Kedai Emas Melati at Lebuh Buckingham, Penang, yesterday.

Timur Laut district police chief ACP Anuar Omar said in the 11.30am incident, one of the men entered the shop and punched a worker in the face.
“After hitting the worker, the trio who arrived in two motorcycles ordered three workers who were in the store to place the jewellery items into a bag before fleeing,” Anuar said.
He said police were now studying the closed-circuit television (CCTV) recordings around the premises as the store was not equipped with a CCTV.
