Vietnamese Woman Allegedly Fell to Her Death at Monorail Station

A woman, believed to be a Vietnamese died after falling from the third floor of the Imbi monorail station near Berjaya Times Square on Sunday.

According to Dang Wangi police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Sukri Kaman, the victim, in her 20s, was believed to have jumped from the third floor of the station.

He said passers-by alerted police to the incident about 1.20pm.

China Press reported that the woman initially fell to the first floor which led to her body being pierced by a sharp iron before falling to the ground.

Eyewitnesses say the woman did not show any signs of struggle before the fall.

Her handbag and passport were also found on her.

The case has now been classified as “sudden death” as no signs of foul play had been found so far.

Police have ruled out robbery and are investigating the circumstances behind the woman’s death.

Sukri said checks revealed that the victim had entered the country on Sept 10.

The victim’s body was taken to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for postmortem.
