Former PKR vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin today confirmed that she received a notice of demand from PKR last Tuesday.

The housing and local government minister, however, said she will not take any action regarding the notice.

“The letter is meaningless,” she said after launching the Community Garden Programme at the People’s Housing Programme (PPR) in Lembah Subang 2, Petaling Jaya, today.

Last July, PKR treasurer-general Lee Chean Chung said the party would issue letters of demand to claim RM10 million each from the 19 MPs and state assemblymen who had left the party, including Gombak MP and former PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali, as well as Zuraida.

On her reported status as a new member of Bersatu, Zuraida said the matter will be officially announced at a ceremony on August 22.
