Police will likely call a PKR assemblyman to Bukit Aman today for investigations into the sex video which implicates Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali, reports Berita Harian.

It is believed the individual could be Kota Anggerik assemblyperson Najwan Halimi.

Previously, Najwan told Malaysiakini that he was not involved in the sex video after his name cropped up in the revelation by Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador that a Selangor assemblyperson is also on their radar.

“This is unfounded… this is a social media mind game that aims to threaten the party and create division,” said the 34-year-old politician.

Najwan was formerly aligned to Azmin’s faction in PKR but broke off and contested as a third-force in last year’s party polls for the post of Youth chief.

During the contest, he was backed by Santubong PKR Youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz – the individual who alleged that he was the person indulging in sexual acts with Azmin in the video.

To date, 11 people have been remanded over the case, including former Santubong PKR youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, who admitted to being one of the men in the video while naming the other as Azmin.

Also under remand is Perak PKR chairman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, who is also PKR president Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary.

The extended remand for Haziq and Farhash ends tomorrow.
