A politician who Zuraida Kamaruddin links to two directly negotiated projects at the Housing and Local Government Ministry is planning to take the minister to court.
Former Batu Berendam MP Tamrin Ghafar said he had referred Zuraida’s claim against him for his lawyer to act on.
Yesterday, Zuraida said it was Lim Guan Eng who decided to award a solid waste project to Bumi Segar Indah, which has Tamrin as an adviser.
She expressly called Tamrin a supporter of PH.
Tamrin, the son of former deputy prime minister Ghafar Baba, today said he did not know why Zuraida had dragged his name into the current controversy surrounding the projects awarded by her ministry through direct negotiations.
“It is unlikely that a minister will not know anything about this matter. The Finance Ministry will act based on the recommendation made by the Housing and Local Government ministry.
“As a minister she should not be involving and blaming others for her failures,” he said in a statement today.
