At his company’s 18th birthday celebrations on Sept 8, Ma took to the stage on a Harley while wearing a gold-and-silver mask, white gloves and a military-style outfit resembling the one worn by Jackson during his Dangerous world tour.

The Alibaba founder and executive chairman then proceeded to show off some Jackson-esque dance moves and groin thrusts, thrilling the 40,000 gathered employees.

Pulling off the mask to reveal he was behind the nifty footwork, Ma was greeted with roars of approval from the crowd and was joined onstage by a group of Alibaba executives who danced and clapped to a medley of Jackson’s hits.

This is not the first time Ma has shown a penchant for performing on stage. At Alibaba’s tenth anniversary celebrations back in 2009, he performed in full heavy metal attire Elton John’s ‘Can You Feel the Love Tonight’.

Asia’s richest man, who is worth an estimated $37.6 billion, relishes outrageous publicity stunts, particularly when they involve dressing up, the Telegraph report.

Enthralled by the entrepreneurial titan’s latest display of showmanship, Chinese netizens praised him widely on the Internet.
