You might not want to rethink choosing that window seat.
A window panel on a recent Air India flight popped out of its frame and knocked a passenger on the head while the aircraft was at 15,000 feet.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner had just taken off from Amritsar for a 30-minute hop to Delhi when it immediately hit heavy turbulence which somehow loosened the window.
The incident reportedly caused panic on the flight, but a viral video of the incident showed that all 240 passengers onboard were remarkably composed.
The 50-second footage opens with a stewardess surreally holding the window panel, which she then fumblingly replaces in its frame.

She then attends to the window seat passenger – a middle-aged woman – who presumably had been hit by the window.

According to the Daily Mail, a probe has been launched by India’s aviation regulator the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and the Aircraft Accident Investigation Board.
Last Tuesday, a woman was partially sucked out of a broken window after an engine exploded on a Southwest Airlines’ New York-Dallas flight. The victim succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident.
